070819 语言是行动的影子

各位大家好,
我明天即将要住院了,接下来至少有一周时间我会无法上网以及关注大夥的动态。在这之前我拟定了一份九楼数字娱乐实验室(DE-LAB)的未来发展方向,提供你们参考,也为我这十多天来静心思考做一个总结。以下六大方向指明了实验室在未来一年内的主要发展,小部分的领域纯属学术研究性质,而大部分的发展方向我希望能与商业化结合,部分的甚至具极大的商业化价值,我诚挚的邀请有心投入的工作伙伴一起在接下来一年与我一起努力,将这个实验室变的更为壮大。

有著日前数字娱乐节的共事经验,相信我们能够玩些更有意思与有意义的东西。有兴趣的同学可以写email加入,这也是我立下了这个发展方向的主要原因。

在我尚未回北京之前,有兴趣的你们已经可以著手认养并动手开始。我相信各位的直觉以及行动力,也希望”语言是行动的影子”成为这个实验室所有参与者的座右铭,将新媒体与动画专业的超强行动力充分展现。

DE-LAB的发展方向:

1.交互墙面
资源:Flamingo, Trendbuero, odilo.schoch
以户外建筑墙面或大型LED墙为载体所设计的交互艺术或游戏作品。此部分将着重于低科技交互应用,透过与墙面业主和开发商的商谈,将最简单而且容易入手的交互内容展示在户外墙面上。除了软件的设计之外,此部分将对LED墙面的制作技术进行更进一步的研发与了解,务必将内容与硬件的开发技术整合在一起。

2.随境游戏
资源:Nokia, Samsung
以真实物理环境为游戏场景辅以手持设备的的户外联机游戏。这些游戏包含以S60系统为基础的手机游戏,在研发游戏的同时与产业所属研究单位保持良好的产学合作关系。

3.北京夏日数字娱乐节
资源:服装学院艺术设计学院内的专业、清华大学、中央美院、实践大学、韩国国立艺术大学、赫尔辛基艺术大学、目前正在洽谈的投资者
以筹备年度北京夏日数字娱乐节为目的。现阶段工作以2007年活动总结、公关为主要内容,藉此寻找2008年的投资者与赞助厂商。同时间积极寻找愿意加入数字娱乐学盟的老师、以及愿意投入2008年DE-DAY展览的学校以及个人。

4.数字娱乐培训
资源:Apple, Adobe, 798创意广场
建立影视与影像相关种子培训机构。同时间提案并辅助Apple或者Adobe在798创意产业园区设立教育示范中心。

5.实习就业转运站
资源:Oglvey, Macann, Interone, Microsoft Research, Baidu, Google, QQ, Trendbuero
建立一个产学合作的平台。基於现有合作厂商与专家资源,提供新媒体与动画专业学生以及数字娱乐节学员们一个短期实习与就业的中间机制。

6.娱乐沙龙
资源:Apple, Rose House, Mars, 参加夏日数字娱乐节市集的设计师
於实验室内成立小型卖场。除了提供咖啡茶点等之外,还贩卖电脑游戏相关的软硬件,以及参与DE-DAY创意市集的设计产品。

070729 DE-Day 数字娱乐教育成果展

8月4日~12日,在北京大山子798创意广场(NIKE展馆所在地),将举行一场北京夏日数字娱乐节成果展(简称DE-DAY)。近一百件国际数字娱乐作品,将给参观者带来全方位的精神盛宴。另外,定于8月4日晚举办的数字娱乐节成果展之夜(简称DE-NIGHT),届时将有学术界权威,新媒体艺术家,视觉与媒体设计师,知名企业人士,众多专业和大众媒体记者以及艺术相关专业学生近千人到场。

开幕酒会: 2007年8月4日晚 8 :00
展览时间: 2007年8月4日 -2007 年8月12日
展览地点: 798艺术区NIKE厂区后花园

From Aug 4th to 12th, a nine-day Summer Digital Entertainment Festival
(DE-DAY) will be held at the Beijing Dashanzi 798 Innovative
Industrial Park. It will exhibit more than a hundred international
digital entertainment creative works, and it will be a mind-inspiring
feast for visitors from all walks of life. In addition, the Opening
Ceremony (DE-NIGHT) on August 4th will be a gathering of the best
minds from various sectors, including well-known academicians, new
media artists, visual and media art designers, entrepreneurs,
professionals and journalists. It is estimated that nearly 1,000
participants will attend the opening, including many students from
art-related studies.

070522 why we are dealing with Digital Marketing now

This is why we are dealing with Digital Marketing now. Here are some reasons.

In-game advertising is on the rise, and Microsoft has upped the ante by buying Massive Inc. for its in-game advertising network, for a rumored US$200 million to US$400 million. This will now allow it to leverage ads for its games on Xbox Live, as well as games on the PC, mobile and other platforms. In fact, Microsoft can now offer the Massive in-game advertising forum to Sony and Nintendo for ads on their consoles if its rivals choose to bite.

According to the Yankee Group, in-game advertising revenue will reach US$732 million by 2010. In a news release, the Yankee Group recently said, “In a highly fragmented media environment, Yankee Group finds that video games present a promising window of opportunity as a growing advertising medium. As television advertising loses its effectiveness, advertisers must reach a largely segmented audience with discerning tastes.”

Developments in technology are re-defining the way companies advertise their products and collect revenue. The new markets that interactive games and cyberworlds are spawning are fast translating into real-world money. Hooked gamers are captive audiences, perfect targets for brand promotion and willing to spend increasing sums on “virtual” items. Companies that ignore the increasingly digital lifestyle of their consumers do so at their peril, especially in the increasingly tech-savvy Chinese market.
